No posts in May.  Not sure why, no — that would be a lie.  I won’t lie but I won’t tell you why either because everything I’m coming up with is just long and boring and doesn’t matter anyway.  Honestly, I suppose I’m having a hard time disguising my excuses.

And where did this “honestly” statement inserted before sentences come from?  Do you suppose one person started saying it and it just caught on?  I’m sure you’ve heard it.  My twenty-five year old daughter has been saying it for years, all her friends and my friends’ kids, they all say it.  I hear it said on Judge Judy, to which she replies, “No, I want you to lie to me.”  Ya really!

I was talking to my mom a year or so ago about this and she reminded me how I used to drive her crazy with “no doy.”  That sounds so stupid, but yes I remember when I thought it didn’t.  There are many things I used to believe that I no longer do, and that is a wonderful thing.

So what is my solution today?  Honestly, I have no idea.  But I’m back.  No doy!
